WORK HISTORY

Harriette Schwartz is native New Yorker who now resides in Southern California. She served as a Special Events reporter for Radio Free Europe in New York and worked for many years in the entertainment industry. She is a lifelong author and writer of poems, articles and books who now works on various freelance writing projects for others as well as her own.

Harriette's writing began with creating and illustrating her own greeting cards. She was blessed early on with the skill to put on paper what she sees in her mind and feels in her heart. Over the years the skill evolved into the authoring of poetry, articles and books. An internet aficionado since the mid-1990's, Ms. Schwartz has long been known in cyberspace as HJSWritergal. It was a natural progression to use the information superhighway as a venue for her many works. Harriette has been virtually published online at various sites including HELIUM and SEEKER MAGAZINE. Her work has also been spotlight-featured several times on EONS. Some stories that have been featured on these sites: CHRONIC IS 100% OF THE TIME, ROMANCE CYBERSTYLE, and DYSFUNCTIONAL IS NORMAL. Her articles which have appeared in print in both the magazine and subsequent book BACK IN THE BRONX are: A MISSING PERSON OR NOT A MISSING PERSON and THE SEDGWICK PROJECTS. Her Poem, REACH FOR YOUR RAINBOW is in print publication in the magazine, VISIONS ANTHOLOGY. MILTON SWADE COUNTS is a children's counting book Ms. Schwartz wrote and illustrated. Other books by the author include POETRY AND MUSES OF AN ORIGINAL BABYBOOMER, THE BABYBOOMERS TIME MACHINE and ADULT SILLY STUFF. Harriette runs a successful online social community for Baby Boomers called Boomerville USA. You can also look for her as HJSWritergal on Twitter.com as well.

Harriette co-authored the book, LOST PALLIES (Amazon.com). It is a collection of afterlife contact short stories, all based true occurrences. Her latest work, THE BETHEL BASH:WOODSTOCK 1969 an ebook out for the 40th anniversary of the event, takes the reader back through words and original photos. Ms. Schwartz is also a contributing author/photographer in the book WOODSTOCK, PEACE MUSIC AND MEMORIES by Brad Littleproud and Joanne Hague.
