I was born in California in 1954. I met my husband when I was a volunteer on a kibbutz in Israel in 1974. I married my husband in 1976. We traveled to America and lived there for 3 years and went back to live on the kibbutz in 1979.
I am still married, have 3 grown children, my youngest is finishing the army in 3 months.
I like to write, don't always find the opportunity, and the urge comes at inconvenient times.
I'd like to start practicing and honing my skills.
At first I thought I needed to write about Israel; there is so much material here, but sometimes our own everyday lives are interesting, and so I'd like to start there.

I used to hate mornings. When I was young it meant getting out of bed early in the morning, running down for breakfast, dressing fast, grabbing my books and running out the door to begin the long walk to school. My memories then of morning was something cold and hard. When I was in college, it meant getting up and feeling groggy after staying up all night to do my homework, throwing my clothes on and sleepwalking to the dining hall, eating hot porridge with peanut butter and bad tasting coffee and finally facing my first class with half-opened eyes and bad breath.
