I suppose I could peel through the many layers of experiences, emotions, beliefs, and interests that make me who I am. If I were to do that, however, your eyes would fall out of your head before you'd finish reading, and I don't think either of us want that. So I'll just shoot for the short version.
I'm currently finishing my prerequisites so I can enroll in the nursing program my college offers. Ever since I had my heart surgery when I was four years old, medicine and science have fascinated me. I was reading my mother's microbiology book when I was nine years old. So needless to say, I feel like I've chosen the right career. I plan on getting my BSN then specializing in pediatric cardiology. Imagine that.
Ever since I was young I've enjoyed writing. Poetry, short stories, novels, it doesn't matter. I just love to write. I can express myself better with a pen and paper (or in today's world, keyboard and computer) than I can with my mouth. My greatest passions in life are learning, experiencing, and believing. Learning about everything and anything that comes my way, experiencing everything that life has to offer, and believing...in myself, humanity, and God. Oh, and laughing. Because life isn't worth living if you can't laugh about anything.
At this moment I cannot think of anything I want to add. Maybe I will later. Until then, take care and remember: Every minute of sadness and discontent is a moment without happiness. So smile!
