: About Me

I have been professionally involved with Computers for over 20 years. I was there when the IBM PC was born and am proud to have been part of the many revolutions technology has brought about. My first computer was a Sinclair ZX 80 computer that had 1K of RAM. Writing anything serious on this computer was a real challenge yet I managed to write programs for it. The cassette tape was the storage medium for this computer.

After the PC revolution the network revolution followed. The network turned islets of computing information into workgroups that allow users to share documents and resources available on other computers. When the commercialised internet was born I was one of the lucky few to have an internet dialup connection at an unreliable speed of 9.6Kb/s.
