We must remember that government has a vested interest in providing just enough social-security benefits to enable retirees to buy dog food for themselves. ( the dogs, after all, were eaten a long time before ) What would government do if it didn't have the power of social-security in order to scare the hell out of old people into believing they weren't going to get their can of Alpo at night.
