About me - Myra Roldan

About me

Hi Everyone!

My name is Almira Roldan, but you all can call me "Myra". I am a single mom with 3 girls ranging ages 18, 14 & 7. I am also a Systems Engineer, Adjunct Professor and Entrepreneur.

I'm what you call a teenage statistic, I had my first child when I was a mere 18 years old (I could hardly take care of myself). Now I'm all grown up and managed to pull through all the cliches and stereotypes. Today, I hold a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology with a specialization in Network Technology and a Masters of Science in Instructional Technology. Currently working on my PhD - wish me luck or better yet...wish me sanity.

At the time of writing my bio, I am also the owner of a mineral makeup company, Beautiful Diva. I appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show (you must of heard of her....she's some kind of famous millionaire African American Woman or something)in May 2007 with a very cool product - Instant Eye Shadow.

Today, I join Helium in hopes of sharing my knowledge and quirkiness with all of you. Hope you all enjoy my contributions!
