I have a scandalous disclosure: I do not like dogs, (gasp!). I never have - something about a German Shepherd biting me on the face when I was three years old. So what am I doing writing about the healing power of dogs? Well, I am here to confess that a dog once healed me. I was at a personal, spiritual, and professional low in my life. My spouse and I were separated, he had custody of the kids; I was nervous at work, sleeping in the detached game room of a house owned by a drill sergeant (actually they were Aggies) on a pull-out couch, and living out of a suitcase.
