A little over 15 months ago, my daughter, Shrimpie, and two of her friends were pedestrians in a car accident. They were among several dozen kids leaving a sweet 16 party in New York a little after midnight on a warm night in June. Shrimpie and her friend, 16 year old Amanda, were hit simultaneously head-on, their bodies thrown into the air.
