Hi,
I am Alida, and live in Alberta, Canada, so the spell check keeps bugging me to Americanize my words:)
I was born in the Netherlands, shortly after the war. After a nurses education I emigrated to Canada. Nursing did not stay long on my agenda. I went back to school to take social work courses, but married without finishing. However, my education continued through our children, those born to us, adopted, and multiple foster children.
My hobbies are:
music
gardening
hiking
knitting,sewing and such
and writing
I have three grown daughters, and still one son home, whom I homeschool. My husband and I have been married 28 years in September.
I have a Christian world view, so my articles will be slanted that way, just as yours with a differing view will be slanted your way.
I have no idea how to put a picture on this page, so that will have to wait till I can ask someone who does know.
Till then I'll be faceless:)

You only have to walk through a new neighborhood to see the truth of that statement. Why do you want to have a large home? Is it prestige, keeping up, or rather, being a little better than the Joneses? Do you need the space to display all your stuff'? Or are the people living in your home more individuals' than a family? You can't agree on what to watch together, so each has their own television in their own room. You can't agree on what to do together, so one swims in the pool, while another plays computer games. You run in different social circles, so dad invites his office buddies for a...
