About me - Jeg Brown

About me

I am in my late 30's and I write mostly when I am depressed, or when trying to pass on what knowledge I have gathered in my short years.

The funny thing is that the older I get, the more I realize how little I know. The comprehension and magnitude of how little you know can be as humbling as looking into the sky on a dark night and seeing the immensity of the universe we inhabit, and realizing just how insignificant we actually are.

I try to learn something new each day. I tell my young son that every day you are awake you should learn at least one thing, and you should try to make yourself better than you were the day before.

I believe that everyone on Earth should be prejudiced against three things only: IGNORANCE which I define as a lack of knowledge; STUPIDITY which I define as a stubborn refusal to learn; and last but more than the others, LAZINESS which I define as a lack of desire or willpower to act on your desires and make yourself better.

I am originally from Maryland, USA; but I have traveled all over Europe, Central America, and some of the rest of the world. I believe that out of the 6 billion + people in the world today, and the billions that have passed I can learn something from each and every one of them.

I am a Political Independent, choosing to think for myself instead of blindly swallowing any party line.

I like to walk in the forests and mountains and enjoy the beauty of the natural world.

And I like to enjoy my greatest accomplishment in this life, my wonderful son.

P.S.
I meant "Duck Tape" as a joke in the "How to save at the grocery store" article.

Grateful to my Mom on Mother's Day A Mother is many things during her life; Nurturer, taxi, chef, confidante, teacher, friend; All of these, a good mom performs without failure, regardless of strife.
