: About Me

I'm either a South African who moved to London or I'm a Londoner who was born in South Africa. I've been here so long the lines are definitely blurred. My SA accent is still noticeable and, like all good bokke, I support SA in the rugby so I think I'm probably more the former, but only just.

I live in North London with lovely Liz and my little boy Freddie.

idlehippy is a silly identity I created ages ago which then stuck to me the way the words ugly' and 'stick' stick together. That's a lot of sticks.

If I could interview anyone it would have to be Nelson Mandela. There are many other people I'd like to interview; Darwin, Leonardo da Vinci (No Leo Di Caprio for me.), JFK, Homer Simpson, Gandhi and many, many more. Top choice would have to be Nelson Mandela, or Madiba, as we South Africans like to call him. I voted in the first truly democratic general election in 1994 which probably influences my choice but I'll set out my reasons why here.
