I am a 27 year old male currently living in the greater Raleigh-Durham area. I graduated in 2003 from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in Physical Geography and received an M.S. in Environmental Policy from Michigan Tech University in 2006. I now work as a renewable energy policy analyst for the Database of State Incentives for Renewable Energy (DSIRE) located within the N.C. State Solar Center. I am mainly interested in environment and energy related topics, but I write articles on politics and religion as well when a subject happens to catch my eye.

One of the primary purposes of government is to enhance societal well-being.
