About me - Stephanie Horne

About me

Just your average rockstar wannabe, shopping warrior, slightly quirky, Jane here. My goal here is to "write a wrong," so to speak. That wrong is not writing, simply put. For too long, I have put my passion and my gift (some might argue) on the back burner, citing "life" as the reason.

I'm looking to chase down some memories, stimulate my mind and fulfill a goal or too - maybe even a dream.

If it's all in the journey, then I am along for the ride.

Briefly me

My passion is ...

still revealing itself to me.

I know too much about ...

Dawson's Creek (go ahead and laugh). Useless yet strangely exciting trivia. For example, high school geometry was ditched long ago in my mind to make room for important stuff, like every line of dialogue from Dirty Dancing.

My parents always told me ...

to be a lady. This always occurs to me after I have either passed gas, fallen down in front of a large group of people or done something else utterly humiliating.

My childhood ambition ...

was to be an astronaut with a clothing line and some legal counseling on the side.

My favorite memory ...

is a house full of family on Christmas.

Why I write ...

It grounds me. It helps the world make sense to me. Writing lets you experience your life twice.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

Reading: The Sex Life of Food, Me Talk Pretty One Day; Watching: The Devil Wears Prada; Listening to: Sara Bareilles

My first job ...

pizza slinger

My best moment ...

is yet to come. I know this.

My inspiration ...

is my family, my friends and the world around me.

I can still remember his performance on the Motown Anniversary show where he unveiled his signature moonwalk and I watched, mouth-agape, as...
