Technology, business and higher education are my areas of passion and primary knowledge areas for writing, although I love to learn new things and am always looking to write on other subject areas as well. Being a member of Helium has given me the opportunity to expand my portfolio and further develop my ability to write for the web. Recently five of my articles ranging on subjects from technology to travel have been purchased through the Marketplace and I've had some good success in various contests.
Having formerly worked in higher education, I am currently on an extended maternity leave and pursuing my Masters in Business Adminstration during this hiatus. Learning has become somewhat of an addiction for me as I was a late bloomer in going to college. Technology and its effects on society fascinate me, and as part of my MBA program I've decided to incorporate a technology concentration. My wonderful husband and three gorgeous children are big supporters of my continuing education. We've recently moved from the northeast U.S. and settled down in the Washington D.C. metro area.
I am excited to be in a substeward role here at Helium. In the winter of 2007 I was given the honor of serving as a Subchannel Steward in the Business Management subchannel. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact me at any time through "contact this writer" and I'll be happy to assist in any way I can.
Originally I discovered Helium through an invite in July 2007 and was instantly captivated by this site. It's a joy reading everyone's thoughts on all the various topics. Helium is a great opportunity to learn and grow - I feel as if I've learned so much since becoming a member and I hope to continue this growth and learn much more. There is a lot of wisdom and support here.

This was the age where video games were born, Big Wheels were the rage and our imaginations went wild from the impact that movies like "Star Wars" and "Close Encounters" had on our lives. The magnetism and possibilities of what else could be residing out in the universe brought to us in brilliant color and fantastic technical effects on the "big screen" at the drive-in movie theatre was astonish...
