I am a 43 year old mother of three, ages 23, 22 (almost) and 13. I've been married almost 23 years. My oldest child is severely handicapped (interstitial deletion of 7th chromosome). He is mentally about 15 months old, and developmentally 2 years old, is 4'4" tall and weighs 51 pounds. My middle child, my only daughter, is a junior at college and a big help to me. My youngest child is about to start 8th grade, is in Beta club, 4th chair trombone in band, and in a youth bowling league. My husband is a forklift driver (works 2nd shift), and I am a part time bookkeeper for a small business, and half owner of a karaoke business. I'm also an amateur genealogist, which takes a lot of my time. I love finding new family members I didn't know about, or finding out more about ones I already do know about. To me it's fascinating. I spent 3 years in the Navy as a personnel-man - that where I met my husband, who was in for 8 years - and have done various jobs in my life. I've worked as an office manager, insurance agent, waitress, bartender, loan clerk, credit checker, bank teller, check filer, mail room clerk, temporary postal clerk, fast food employee, Tupperware party representative - you get the idea. I have had many experiences that give me interesting views on a variety of subject. My goal in life is to learn something new every day, no matter what it is. I'm excited to be a part of this interesting group, and ready to get started!

Naming Your Canine Family Member When you get a new puppy or dog, the most important thing to remember is that he or she is a new family member, and the name you choose should be appropriate for your family and for the dog. Puppy names can be originated based on the personality the puppy displays. Quiet, well behaved puppies lend themselves to more sedate names - Lady, Knight, Princess, Sleepy, Slow Poke - whereas a rambunctious pup would be suited to Trouble, Destroyer, Mischief or Terror.
