Hi, my name is Chris Pritchard and I live in Australia. I migrated here from Scotland many years ago and love the open spaces of the Aussie landscape and the have a go attitude of the people here.
I work as a naturopath, aromatherapist, colour therapist and Reiki Master/Teacher in my own clinic. I love every day of my life.
I had a previous "life" as a teacher in Special Education schools and Primary schools. I enjoyed that too but not as much as I love being a healer.
I am passionate about writing and there are days when I feel compelled to cover as many sheets of paper as I can find with my ideas.
I love all kinds of music but have had a love affair with musicals and light opera since school days and school productions. I had a dream once to play Maria in West Side Story but our school never put that one on.
I read lots of books and especially love historical dramas, detective novels and science fantasy. I'm really looking forward to the last Harry Potter book at the moment.
My ideal Saturday afternoon is to get together with a group of friends who all have some craft ideas and have a fun day sharing. I like knitting, crochet, ceramics, fabric painting, embroidery and beading.
I have a Border Collie dog and a British short hair cat, both black and white. My dog thinks he's a cat cos the cat brought him up but the cat has some very doggy habits. I did try keeping fish once but I couldn't get the tank right and they kept dying. Eventually it was too painful to keep losing my fish I gave up. But every week I go to a local Aquatic Shop and just stand in the display areas in awe of the beauty of the fish and their show tanks.
My husband is a really cool guy who puts up with my weird ways and loves. He is patient and caring and I wouldn't change him for the world. He is also my best friend.

the beautiful people I meet every day of my life
Last year I went home to visit not just my home but my homeland. Thirty six years ago I packed my bags and on a $50 dollar loan left my tiny village home in Scotland to live in Australia. It was a hard day when I left that place. The snow drifts were six foot high and dad's car was hidden between the banks of snow. He and mum were going to drive me to the airport in London and it was a bittersweet journey. The contrast on that beautiful June day last year when I returned to Scotland for a visit was strange and truly unsettling. I got off the plane at Edinburgh airport and there was that Sc...
