: About Me

Hi, I like to think of myself as Shrek. I have the physique, the breath and the heart.

I have always wanted to be a writer and have managed to get published, featured in local newspapers, once in a national writing magazine and read out on radio. A television producer even recorded some of my work for telly.

I am a global manager in a telecommunications multi-national with over 1000 customers in 135 countries world wide and, I guess the good bit, is I get to travel lots. I like travelling.

Despite being a tad overweight, i have been a runner at various levels for the past 20 years. That's right, my first distance run was the Berlin Marathin in 1987. At my best, in my early 20s and 5 stone lighter than today, I could cover close to 7 minute miles up to Half Marathon. Nowadays, it's more like 13 minute miles. Still as enjoyable.

I'm 40, grey and single, with 3 teemage daughters. Kathryn 18 (peace dude!) Joanna 16 (Whatever!) and Julia 14, (everything should be pink).

2 terrorists stood in the road ahead stopping the traffic. I made my weapon ready. I remember the thought, crystal clear in my mind at the time. "There must be some mistake. They can't kill me. I've got a baby girl at home!"
