Hello!

I am a writer, a trainer and an arts and crafts fanatic. If there is one thing that can make arts and crafts better, it's creative recycling. I am currently working on a book containing innovative and fun creative recycling projects. Most of my articles on Helium incorporate my passion for creative recycling.

Another love of mine is Expressive Art Therapy. My desire is for all of us to be comfortable with ourselves and where we fit in this world. I have had an extraordinarily rich life, filled with joy, tragedy, pain and laughter. My life experiences afford me the luxury of empathizing with a wide and diverse audience. Sharing these experiences can sometimes be very difficult and taxing; however, if I can write anything which facilitates people feeling good about themselves and can add fun to their lives, I am bound to share it.

Being an arts and crafts fanatic has its downside. When there are so many hobbies from which to choose and several projects vying for your attention, it makes it hard to find enough time for everything. What can you do? In my case, I love my avocation so much; I manage to juggle three broad categories of hobbies! I alternate between altered art, needlework and writing. However, my juggling act is not a difficult one, because rather than competing for my attention, I feel all my favorites actually mesh together and harmonize quite well.
