Robert Catesby, known as the "Ghost of the Andes", is a strange figure. No one can verify that he actually exists, and those that do meet him speak of a "whisper of a shadow" that follows him at all times. Some say he is a mere name, an idea, or even a dog. Others, that he is the Comte de Sainte Germaine, that eternal alchemist. The Czechs call him "the Wandering Jew", while the French believe there are in fact two Robert Catesbys, whom they distinguish with the epithets "le Petit" and "le Grand".
