Five-star writer/editor Gloria Anderson first became involved with Helium in 2007, after finding it quite by accident. She tackles a wide variety of subjects as a writer. Gloria also works behind the scenes at Helium, and as a professional editor, she shares her expertise as a member of Helium's Editorial Advisory Board.
Her Creative Writing badge is something in which she also takes great pride. Gloria previously served as a Helium channel steward for the "Catholicism" sub-channel of Religion and Spirituality. Some of her writing may be found with a byline of "Arabella Kelly," a pen name used in memory of her mother and grandmother.
In the 1990s, Gloria was privileged to work as a contributing editor with Motor Watch, (formerly known as Nutz & Boltz,) a radio call-in talk show with an internationally circulated newsletter. She tutored individuals in English, and was honored to host a foreign exchange student for a year.
A deep interest in understanding how the mind works and in helping others led her to strive toward a particular educational goal. The completion of her degree work in psychology is her proudest academic achievement.
Gloria is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), Alpha Sigma Lambda (a national honor society for adult university graduates earning top honors,) and a number of other organizations. She has also served as a volunteer in various political campaigns.
