Why I write ...

For me, it is the same as breathing. I need to do it constantly or I feel suffocated. It's my release. It's the place I can be just me.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

I'm reading biographies of Maya Angelou and Mother Theresa. I'm watching "Motorcycle Diaries" and "Cinema Paradiso." I'm listening to "Umbrella" by Rihanna and John Mayer's "Dreaming With a Broken Heart" the most right now.

My inspiration ...

My mama. My parents made very little income growing up, but I never knew that because my mom used the little we had to give us everything we needed. She also taught us to recycle, reuse, never waste, think of others first, be modest/simple, respect nature, and take care of our bodies and minds. She is always ahead of the game in the way she leads her life. I admire the strong, beautiful, and adventurous woman that she is.
