I have written professionally for the last 30 years. While most of my work has been in the area of public relations, I am the author of 39 books, and my work has been published in hundreds of newspapers and magazines.
I received my degree in Journalism cum laude in 1981 from the University of Minnesota, where I was a Herbert Berridge Elliston Fellow. I currently live in Madison, WI with my wife and two children.
My interests include politics (liberal), religion (atheism, buddhism, the philosophy of religion, and anything wacky, space exploration, neuroscience, music (old-timey)and musical instrument building.
