Passonate desire for storytelling. I have had many humorous and interesting events occur in my life and have been encouraged by many, many friends and colleagues to put these events to pen and paper. This website is a godsend.
I am over fifty, single Mom with two wonderful adult daughters. I write professionally for a state entity. Although I've learned much about technical writing, it does nothing to inspire my creativity and passion for writing.
Communication is a gift I value everyday and I will not take it for granted. The value of words is remarkable. I have found my way with Helium.com and I hope my stories bring a laugh, a tear, or an ah!

Love of life.
Gardening is my most favorite of hobbies and I owe that love to my maternal grandmother who insisted I learn the ways of gardening at the age of six years old. She was most comfortable when she was tending to her garden and in retrospect, I realize it was her therapeutic activity. It has since become mine. I chuckle every now and then as I recollect a childhood memory of a gardening story that went awry.
