: About Me

I'm a 35 year old stay at home/home-schooling mother of 6 children. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for the last 16 years.

My love of writing developed as a child when my 6th grade reading teacher had the class write a short story. She gave me an A and told my parents that in her 30 years of teaching she had never seen a child with as much natural talent for writing at that age. Every teacher I had after that in one way or another worked to make me a better writer. Ive been out of school nearly 17 years and I'm still not officially published. I did run my own online E-zine for a while, and newsletter for a small nonprofit organization.

My hope is to be hard copy published one way or another before I turn 40.

I don't know how many saw what was going on before my mother stumbled into the room, on that fateful day, that lead to my family moving away from a job they enjoyed, and family they thought they could trust. I am quite sure that someone saw. I didn't after all live away from civilization. No, in fact, I was the child of people working hard to help children who had been removed from their family home for what ever reason. My parents were house parents at a Christian run children's home. My grandparents were as well, both sets of them. This was the very place my parents had met and married. ...
