I am taking a hiatus from Helium for a short time in order to improve upon and work on myself, my spirituality, and most of all my art. Please feel free to check out the link to my art.
Hello. My name is Ahava Yardenah. At least, that is the name I chose to have. I am a Pantheist, but I practice mostly pagan traditions. I believe everyone is right, and everyone is God. As I read in the book Avalon, 'All gods and goddesses are One'...nothing could be more True to me. Really, I am mostly only interested in bettering myself spiritually. I don't believe in most things in this world that others have come to accept as reality. As Above So Below is a saying I also ascribe to. I study Astrology, Tarot, Palmistry, crystal gazing, and scrying with pendulums. And I am an Aquarius with Pisces rising and Pisces moon for those of you who are interested. I believe in Karma, and the gods and goddesses, I do energy work and I meditate. These things are so a part of me that they almost are me. Everything I do is usually inspired somewhat by my spiritual beliefs. I do not eat animal flesh nor do I wear it. They are my tortured and imprisoned brethren and I will fight the fight to save their lives just like I would fight the fight to save yours. Yes, I believe you are wrong for eating meat or wearing fur. No, I don't judge you to be unworthy and I love you all the same...we all make mistakes. Yes, I have strong opinions that I rarely back down from unless someone shows me that the issue is not a matter of opinion, but rather one of fact. I change my views and opinions as necessary for my happiness and well being, and only if I truly believe in that change.
I'm a Graphic Designer. My picture is an example of my work. I used Photoshop CS3 to make it.
I have always enjoyed writing. Mostly I write poetry. I hope you enjoy my writings as much as I have enjoyed (and will continue to enjoy) all of yours. I wrote my first poem when I was very young, I believe I was about 8 years old. At the age of 9 I got in trouble for my first limerick...it was about a bird named Turd. I didn't know what a 'turd' was, but my teacher didn't believe me. My next limerick wouldn't be written until I was 16 and in high school, it was titled 'Barf'-"Barf is yucky, barf is brown, barf lay in puddles on the ground. When I barf it's really icky, when I barf I feel sicky." I don't write limericks. Perhaps you can see why.
I also want to thank Helium and everyone who has ever bothered to read and be interested in not only my articles, but this website in general. I have gotten wonderful feedback and so many of my articles rank highly because so many of you feel they deserve that rank. It is an amazing feeling to see when one of my articles is number 1 out of 32 or 50 out of 220. Thank you all, for having your views and sharing them too. Thank you for existing.
Thank you for thinking. I encourage it above all else...it is one of the few luxuries we have that isn't illegal yet.
Yea, I'm one of those. If you know what I'm talking about, then you know. If not then let it suffice to understand that I disagree with almost everything this country, this world even, stands for and was built upon. No, it wasn't founded on peace and unity...it was founded on war and terror.
Yea, I'm one of those.
I am against the New World Order and favor rather a united world...sans caps ;) if you catch my drift...and I hope you do. If not, ignore this and consider it babble.
My birth name is Shannon, by the way.
I love everything, and everyone. I don't like everyone mind you, but love is another matter. I do love everyone. Even people I don't know. I love you. I do. I know you may not believe me, but it is true and it wouldn't be a proper 'about me' section if I didn't a) make it long and winded b) mention that I love everyone.
I Corinthians 13
No I'm not Christian...but pick up a Bible and read that chapter and try and tell me it isn't the truth, you can try, but I won't believe you.

As a side note, I am going to say that I often use ellipses in my writing. People are constantly flagging my articles for formatting. I usually answer these people that I know what an ellipse is and how to use it. I am going to now clear up any confusion for people who may run across ANY article that uses ellipses often or at all. It is a very commonly used writing style and perfectly acceptable in use in proper English writing. It is not grammatically incorrect for me to use ellipses as I know the proper use of them.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellipsis
I use ellipses to represent a long pause or a trailing off into silence. I do not use the four ellipses because I rarely use it at the end of a sentence in mid paragraph. It is almost always to indicate a long pause in mid paragraph, or at the end of a paragraph it is a trailing off into silence.
The commonly accepted rule for when ellipses are used as omissions is to put them inside of brackets [...] I never use ellipses as omissions of anything. Often people do not use them in this sense as brackets are much more widely used and accepted. In this case though I am going to say that as the reader it is up to you to understand what ellipses mean and what the writers intention was by using them. If it is unclear, then flag the article for formatting...but if it is obvious that the ellipse is being used in place of a comma as a long pause...like I did there...then leave it alone. Ellipses are perfectly acceptable as a 'writing style' which is what I have...a style.

...Put to Sleep the Stars...
More tears than there are for me to cry
Is less than how much I love you.
More stars than there are in the sky
Is less than how much I love you.
If there were a moment in time
To define my love
Creation would be that moment.
My love holds worlds within its grasp
As I hear angels sing in your heartbeat.
The song that sweeps across the universe and puts to sleep the stars
I know within your heart.
The melody that gods hum
The song the wind is whistling
The very lullaby that sweeps across the universe
And puts to sleep the stars.
When the sun si...
