I was born in Nicaragua in 1954. Moved to the USA in 1985 and became a citizen in 1992. After completing studies in architecture, administration, and philosophy and 18 years in Florida, I moved to Texas in 2003.
In collaboration with American Fraternity, Inc. and after winning several competitive grants from the Miami-Dade County Cultural Affairs Council, I published 24 books of poetry and short stories in both English and Spanish, of which 7 were my own creation.
Currently I am enrolled in the on-line MFA-Creative Writing Program at the University of Texas-El Paso.
My poetry has been published in many magazines and web sites in the USA, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Spain, London, and Brazil.

Bread Man When I was a child, days began at eight or nine in the morning. I was still too young for school, so I enjoyed the luxury of waking up late. When I started elementary school though, it was a different story. I had to ride public buses for an hour before arriving at school.
