About me

I think I'm just an ordinary woman who has enjoyed extraordinary opportunities in life.

I come from 40+ years experience in a committed relationship. Was honored most recently to care for my Mother until her death in Jun'06. We are a huge family.
I am the 4th oldest of 13, having six sisters and six brothers - all living. You can deduce innumerable blessings, complexities, and extensions of influence. Generally, we just like to get together with food, fun, some cards and games, and a whole lot of teasing.

I believe I'm over-schooled, but gifted with an insatiable appetite for learning. I've explored the realm of writing, contributing mostly poetry but a fair amount of prose. I enjoy working word games, daily crosswords, and some trivia. I like to read the dictionary, too.

Given that there are 13 of us in my nuclear family, it's difficult to find a place big enough to gather and to find a time that all of us are available. We are spread over seven states and the extended, immediate family now numbers over 110 with married nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. It isn't that we want to exclude cousins but that significantly complicates the gathering. We most often connect with them at funerals. Now that all of the first generation have passed, even getting together at funerals isn't happening very often. I've learned of two families of cousins who s...
