Finally, a forum for my writing!
It's been a long time coming. I started writing articles for publication about 14 years ago working at The Economics Press in Fairfield, New Jersey. Though my passion for writing started as a kid composing a collection of poems and short stories.
I kept them in a colored folder and over the years I added to it on a regular basis. Unfortunately, I no longer have the folder.
I now live in South Florida and my passion for words was put on the back burner to raise a family.
Now that I have settled down somewhat, my passion is back. I feel joy in knowing I will write again!

"Mommy! There's a spider in the bathroom, come kill it! I'm scared!" my son's screams trail into my bedroom. When I get there, I discover it is a common daddy-longlegs spider ( a.k.a. Pholcidae). "Jason, why should I kill this spider? It is not bothering you. They do not bite humans and they only eat other insects" I respond. "Because I am scared of it, it's going to bite me!" Once again I assure him that this little creature, created by God, is of no harm to him and we can't just go around killing things, regardless if it is just an insect.
