Born in England, I moved to Toronto, Canada ,aged seven, and with the exception of four years 'on the road' spent visiting over twenty countries, Hogtown's been my home. Toronto is the most multicultural city I have ever seen and I have always found this diversity energizing, inspiring and most of all educational.
During my life I have seen and been many things and each of them have helped me develop a view of the world and we who inhabit it, a perspective that is constantly changing. With each new experience or discovery, with every novel thought or item of information, we're given the opportunity to broaden our minds and focus our ideas.
Improving international relations and global image are America's most pressing external issues. Recent administrations' lack of both understanding of and standing in the world community combined with a seeming unwillingness to acquire either, have left America increasingly isolated and distrusted. In a world of rising powers and lesser' nations with populations no longer willing to kowtow to pressure and threats, this is a very dangerous path for all involved.
