: About Me

I am 24 years old, married to a wonderful man who has been my best friend and rock for the past 7 years. We eloped in Broome last March, which is the furthest I have ever been from home and the biggest adventure I had experienced to that point.

We are now embarking on a bigger adventure; Parenthood. We have a beautiful 5 and a half month old baby girl who is happy, adventerous, strong willed, a chatter-box, sticky-beak, book lover and most definitely a Daddy's girl. She brings me endless joy.

Having been pregnant and now as a new mum I find much to write about and am inspired everyday to do something creative, whether it be writing, scrapping or taking and editing a photo of my gorgeous girl.

I have always dreamed of being a published writer and regret that the tough times in my life got in the way of my passion, here at Helium I am trying to refine my ability and maybe one day live out my dream.

Before the birth of my daughter and well into the first few months of her life I was absolutely against the idea of allowing her to cry herself to sleep. It seemed a cruel, heartless way to have baby go off to sleep and I was not prepared to inflict such a fate on my child.
