I am 71 and live in Washington State in the
mountains. I have written poetry all my life
but I have never done anything with it.

My little tin jalopy, that went around and around, My little wooden dolly, that never made a sound, My set of beads and strings, I played with all the time. My brother's wooden airplane, that only cost a dime. The box of forty games, that kept us oh, so busy. The little spinning tops, that made us oh, so dizzy. The pretty crayons all in a row, and the coloring books, The modeling clay, bouncing balls and the comic books. These were the toys from yesteryear, We always will remember. Memories and all the joys, Excitement of December.
