About me - Mark Taylor-Blake

About me

Mark began his life in poverty where he grew up in a poor area. At the age of 6 he was fostered and then adopted a short time later. This affected him as he was already licking his wounds from what went on before but he knew he had to carry on regardless. A young lad with a lot on his shoulders and a lot to contend with in such a short space of time, Mark struggled at special school and needed special help from the deputy headmaster. This turned out to be the brother of TV, Theatre, Film and Radio actor Julian Rhind-Tutt of Greenwing fame. Special school was followed by primary school then high school in where he was asked by two of his classmates to join them at the drama club there. The rest is history. High school productions as well as the high school choir became the start for Mark and as he took his first steps he began to trust life again. College was next where he did 2 different BTEC Courses as well as short films and amateur dramatics. 3 years of that was followed by University where he is currently studying for a degree in Drama. He continues to be successful: in 2008 he was in the University of Northampton TV advert in the summer. It was shown again the following year at the same time of year only this time it was also shown on E4. 2008 also saw Mark land his first professional theatre role in where he played 3 characters; this demonstrated his ability to play multiple characters within a performance.

One thing that Mark knows is that he will find it extremely difficult to match the talents of his sisters uncle Julian Rhind-Tutt who is a professional actor himself (He can't call him his uncle because he is in a different family to his sisters). But he continues to enjoy what he loves doing because 'it is his escape from the miserable life he has had and even now he still finds it a hinderence'. Mark is now a stronger person more than ever and through the work he continues to do which he enjoys he will only go on to further success.

TRIAL OF LOVE I'm never too lazy Looking at beautiful girls makes me feel like a daisy It makes me go all crazy But it makes me happy all the same. When girls call me by my name It could be a claim to fame Or it could set me on the path to shame. Don't get me wrong that's what I think Especially if I give that girl a glancing wink But if she doesn't respond my heart starts to sink And I'm wondering whether it's because I stink. I probably need a bath I thought As the love I show towards her hasn't been bought I know I need to buy her flowers I ought Or the coppers will jail me and send me ...
