In others

separate and alone

inside where fires burn

and fires die.

hope is lost for the
ones who burn to hot

who use up what
they almost got.

In others

baffled and churning

always fuming, bluntly

on and on about their potential.

songs are sung to lyrics
of self proclaimed promise.

Yet, the future finds

energy was spent in

the rave advertisements,

rambling for your investments.

souls awaken at the
thoughts alone, unseen.

plans, sweat, blood

invested in a wisp of dreams

hidden to profane

then brought out cautiously.
