As I stood up in third grade to tell the class what I wanted to be as an adult, the words "actress, singer, and artist" fell from my lips. However, in my mind, I was really thinking "writer." I didn't think that would be as popular, so I didn't say it.
My how things change! I am now majoring in English with a writing concentration and have felt very fulfilled writing for my classes and sharing with my peers. I have even found joy writing literary essays, and I'm very thankful for the gift I have been given.
I plan on helping children with a master's degree in early childhood education, but I will have plenty of time to pursue my writing goals, also. I wish to write non-fiction, fiction-and anything else that I am asked to write! I have written speaches, poetry, designed party invitations, along with the writing I have done in class.
