I live in the Carolinas with my husband, three children, and three dogs. Life in my house isn't dull. I'm a homemaker for my family, and it's a 24x7 job. I may not get everything done, but that's okay. I am not anywhere near a "stepford-wife". If any of you watch Desperate Housewives, I'm more like Lynnette. I can relate to a lot of her frustrations! I'm also Deaf, yet I'm very functional in my daily life. My hearing impairment hasn't slowed me down at all.
My husband is a local truck driver, and it's nice to have him home every night. My eleven year old daughter is quite a handful with her ADHD. She also has other issues that fall into an assortment of letters among the alphabet, but I don't want to get into all that. I have a set of boy/girl twins that are six years old. I'm glad that they came out of the whining/crying/screaming phase because a double dose of that isn't fun at all. I'm lucky that I can turn off my hearing aids and I can choose NOT to hear that racket as I tend to their needs. The dogs are the easiest to care for. They don't create extra laundry and they only need to be fed once a day. We have a doggy door for them, so they come and go as they please.
Writing is a form of meditation for me. Huge stress reliever. I get into this zone, or trance, when I'm writing or typing on the computer. I have this uncanny ability to tune out the world around me, much to the annoyance of my husband and kids. Writing is the one way to identify with myself, other than being a wife, mother, daughter, friend, sister.
My passion is ...

Why I write ...

My first job ...
was in accounting.
My best moment ...
meeting my husband!
My inspiration ...
family, friends, and dogs.
Why I'm glad 2009 is over..... The year started off badly....starting on New Year's Eve 2008. I had taken my 74 year old Mom to the doctor, who then sent her to the ER. My Mom has severe emphysema and requires oxygen 24 hours a day. We get to the ER, and by then my Mom was so weak that she couldn't stand on her own. It took the doctors forever to figure out that she had a small blood clot in her left lung. Along with the blood clot, she also had pneumonia, bronchitis, and severe asthma. Five things wrong with her lungs at once. She stayed in the hospital for almost...
