About me - Wendy D

About me

My name is Wendy and I'm a full time employee, part time writer and wishful thinker. I hope to someday take my writing and turn it from a passion into a saleable book, but there are millions of people who want that for themselves.

I'm writing a book about my infertility. Yes, I understand that not everyone is going to be interested in the goings on of my broken hoohoo and other assorted parts, but hopefully at least a few people will. Maybe they'll get some laughs out of it - some encouragement to keep going.

I'm going to be 35 in September, which will put me into the "Advanced Maternal Age" group. That's when all the doctors and other assorted dorks will ask me why I waited so long to try to have children and I'll have to sit on my hands to keep from slapping them around. I didn't "wait so long", and have been through men enough in my life that I know it's MY problem. Every ex I have has a child (and most of the buttwads chose to send me pictures, too, isn't that NICE?).

My husband and I will have a child. We're going for it biologically first. If you suggest to an infertile that they're trying too hard or that they should just adopt, then you should just get kicked, especially if you are NOT an infertile. You don't know what you're talking about or how it feels, so the LAST thing on the planet that I want is your take on something you don't "get". :)

Anyway, before I bore anyone to tears or to sleep, I'll close this now. I'm looking forward to this experience. I hope it will broaden my literary horizons.

Congratulations to McDonald's! The Big Mac should not be retired. It's not something that should be chalked up to "a bad decision by a former generation". I would imagine that a good many people who think it should be retired also feel that it's the gun's fault and not the trigger puller's that murders are committed. Less than 10% of the public's weight problems are caused by actual medical conditions. In a good many cases, these medical conditions are treatable. There are two possibilities for having gone overboard and packed on a lot of pounds, two M words, actually... one is Medical and...
