A working professional writer since 1978, I've been a journalist in newspapers, radio and television, and in 1994, broke into the world of publishing for the first time.
Since then I have published three novels and a memoir with Doubleday Canada Ltd. This year, my new novel, Ragged Company, arrives in August, followed by a collected memoir, One Native Life, in September.
I have written politics, general news, op-ed, documentary, music, film and book reviews as well as feature articles on virtually everything.
These days, at 52, I live in the Interior of British Columbia with my beautiful partner, Debra, and our dog Molly. The land is healing and beautiful and life is a constant assortment of challenges and joys.
See my website at www.richardwagamese.com for more info and excerpts from the books.
