Is the super delegate system an appropriate representation of democracy? For those who don't know, there are around 800 super delegates who in the past were not in a position of determining the Presidential Nominee for the Democratic Party. However, things may be different this year. With Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton having such a close number of delegates voting for them, this year's nominee may be determined not by the majority of the people voting for the Democratic Party, but instead from a select few, elite, politically affiliated politicians.
