I would like to add my prospective to this debate. I am married to a Hispanic first generation American. My in-laws can not speak English and live in Mexico.
My late father-in-law did receive his citizenship several years before passing away.
I speak more or less fluent Spanish and am quite tuned in to the Hispanic Culture.
I also employ many folks who speak mostly Spanish. So you would think I am pro guest worker etc.
