About me - Kenneth Boser II

About me

W.B. Yeats wrote, "In dreams begins responsibility." One of my dreams, as everyone is prone to have more than one, is to be able to express my opinions and beliefs while carrying an impact to those reading my musings.
Many of the things I believe in come from other sources, (i.e. family, friends, Bible and life experiences), but my careful analysis of those sources reveal to me, and I to you, the philosophy by which a life can be fruitful.
I have always believed that change does not happen singly, but in pairs; one person attempting to change another's mindset on an issue changes both the one attempting the change, and the one accepting or denying the change.
One of the authors I have been influenced by is Ayn Rand, especially in her three masterpieces of philosophical fiction; "Anthem," a story about a dystopic society where a man gains the courage not to succumb to the grist of the grindstone of slavery, "The Fountainhead," a novel praising the merits of singular accomplishment, and "Atlas Shrugged," about a group of men who decide that they've been robbed enough by the likes of those who don't produce, (especially government), and how government tries to force people into a particular course of action.
Of one particular quote I like in "Atlas Shrugged," describes morality:
-"What is morality?"
-"Judgment to distinguish right and wrong, vision to see the truth, courage to act upon it, dedication to that which is good, integrity to stand by the good at any price."

This is just a little microcosm of what I am, and what I hope you'll enjoy.
