Hmmm...ask me to write on anything under the sun and I will, gladly. Ask me to write about myself and well...
Having seen 33 summers in my life; the latest one lasting 1 whole year since I am now living in Singapore where the weather is either Hot or Wet or Hot & Wet; there have been many occasions where I thought I found my calling, only to be attracted to something else (Thankfully the same cannot be said about my married life!)
But if there are 2 "things" that I simply LOVE, they are WRITING and FOOD!
I am a complete foodie and love to try new cuisines (if you can call Hawker food cuisine!). Fortunately there are many chances in Singapore to indulge in my passions, unfortunately there is always a ready excuse to not do so - lack of time!
Anyway, I am married and have a son (6 in January 2008) who looks much like me (thank god!) and my little bundle of joy, my little fairy - Saanchi, born on 10th October 2007.
I look forward to contributing some of my thoughts here on this forum and hope to remain active for a long time.

My passion is ...
food and writing!
I know too much about ...
you never know too much about anything...everyday is a new lesson...
My parents always told me ...
"listen to us, otherwise your children will also not listen to you!"
My childhood ambition ...
That's the whole problem - I never did have any ambitions!
My favorite memory ...
I cannot forget the moment when I held my 20-minute old boy in my arms for the first time, my legs shaking, tears streaming down my face. I just kept looking at him...speechless and a silly smile plastered on my face...
Why I write ...
Why I eat? Why I drink? Why I talk? Why I walk? Why I sleep? Why I Breathe?
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
Cannot answer this or will have to update this everyday!
My first job ...
First Job - At age 16, Office to Office Salesman, selling Juice Boxes. First Business - At age 15, writing essays for my classmates and getting treated to burgers and cokes in return!
My best moment ...
Seeing my name in Print for the first time...(Yawn...what a predictable answer!)
My inspiration ...
MONEY! and the FAME that goes with it!
Saint Valentine would be squirming in his grave at the Via Flaminia, north of Rome, every 14th February looking at how couples and lovers (and singles too) all over the world "celebrate" the day he was buried!I am not sure how many, if any, of us would even know the history behind celebrating Valentine's Day. 14th February has today become synonymous with pomp, expensive gifts, proclamation of love with garish display of wealth. Not that there is anything wrong with love, but for gift and card companies like Hallmark and Archies, it makes commercial sense to drum up the day and whip up pass...
