Hmmm...ask me to write on anything under the sun and I will, gladly. Ask me to write about myself and well...

Having seen 33 summers in my life; the latest one lasting 1 whole year since I am now living in Singapore where the weather is either Hot or Wet or Hot & Wet; there have been many occasions where I thought I found my calling, only to be attracted to something else (Thankfully the same cannot be said about my married life!)

But if there are 2 "things" that I simply LOVE, they are WRITING and FOOD!

I am a complete foodie and love to try new cuisines (if you can call Hawker food cuisine!). Fortunately there are many chances in Singapore to indulge in my passions, unfortunately there is always a ready excuse to not do so - lack of time!

Anyway, I am married and have a son (6 in January 2008) who looks much like me (thank god!) and my little bundle of joy, my little fairy - Saanchi, born on 10th October 2007.

I look forward to contributing some of my thoughts here on this forum and hope to remain active for a long time.

I cannot forget the moment when I held my 20-minute old boy in my arms for the first time, my legs shaking, tears streaming down my face. I just kept looking at him...speechless and a silly smile plastered on my face...

A quick glance at the Names of all "YES" writers confirmed my suspicions ... Almost All, if not all, writers who think that it is important for people outside of United States to follow the US Presidential race, are actually Americans themselves!
In other words, they are talking from the point of view of an individual who they cannot represent.

By the way, I am an Indian, living in Singapore. And as I write this article, news flash show that Barack Obama has just been declared the 44th President and the first ever Black president of the United States of America. Congrats to all Democrats!
