Growing up in Virgina and Kansas everyone always wants to know, "How come you are a Detroit Tigers Fan?" Well, it's easy. Virginia doesn't have any teams, and when I was five my dad brought home a Tigers hat he had bought at a Michigan airport-my love of all professional Detroit sports teams was born. Being 25 years old during the 2006 World Series, I had seen only one winning season since I was 12. The playoffs? Hah, I just figured Detroit wasn't allowed to play in the post-season. Sure they won the whole thing in 1984, but I wasn't a fan yet. And in 1987, well, let's just say they choked...
