Sahara Stirling lives and plays in the Mile End area of Montreal, Quebec, but dreams of moving to Tofino, British Columbia in the near future. For now, she lives on various freelance assignments, writing a weekly newsletter on global forest sustainability issues and developments, works for beer and hugs with an artists' collective, and practices yoga. She's not entirely sure how, but she always makes time to write, and her cat always makes time to sit on top of the page and "help."

was during high school in a local public library
I see them now, the stereotypical teens. A boy and girl stand in front of me, giddy as they show off their new drivers' licenses to each other and trade quips about whose picture is worse. They carry backpacks, filled to the brim with heavy textbooks and other school supplies, perhaps some sweaty sportswear. Both are in a hurry to go home and take their first real drives, even if only to grab some groceries. But... where are their homes?
