I am about to turn 60 years of age. This is a good thing because I get to move up an age group in swimming. So far this year I won the 1650 freestyle at the USMS National Championships in Federal Way, Washington. I also swam on a relay that set a new national record. I am pleased to be able to swim and compete and hope to continue to do it for many more years.
My children are my joy and keep me entertained at all times with their growing pains. I love to see them becoming successful adults.
My husband works too hard but he always has. He is an unstoppable workaholic so I just leave him behind and go off swimming with my friends. We live in Reno, Nevada which is a beautiful place to live. We have the Sierra Nevada Mountains to watch everyday from our windows. The blue, blue skies of Nevada are a blessing.

I wandered into a way to lose weight absolutely painlessly without even knowing it would happen. Plus I am now saving between $1,920 to $2,400 per year because of it. For years I have gone to sandwich shops and small restaurants for lunch in the neighborhood where I work. I thought it was great. I always brought a book, relaxed and ate food prepared for me by other people. One day, I didn't feel like going to any of those eateries. It just seemed tedious to leave my desk at the office and go sit somewhere else and eat. It occurred to me that I might enjoy going to the grocery store nearby....
