I am Helium's Education Channel site steward. I look forward to helping develop this role, as well as working towards enhancing this channel. I am here to help anyone who has any questions, or needs any assistance with articles. I welcome any constructive ideas you might have on how the education channel might be improved.

I have a passionate need to always be learning something new and to be having new experiences, and am fascinated by how seemingly disparate things have fundamental similarities. Never satisfied to take anything at face value, my mind is always analyzing and incorporating new information into my understanding of the world.

While I have degrees in psycholinguistics and business, my interests and areas of knowledge are both diverse and eclectic. From special education to the history of science, I am always researching and experiencing whatever topics happen to intrigue me at a given moment.

I have worked as an advocate for special needs students in the public schools. I also worked as a math tutor with special needs students, developing new teaching techniques as needed. To gain a deeper understanding of these children, I have read much of the cognitive neuroscience literature.

I spent some time tutoring Laotian refugees in English. Following this, I was a research assistant at the Harvard Graduate School of Education on a project run by Howard Gardner.

For me, the most rewarding aspect of writing is being able to share my understanding of the world in both its mundane and esoteric aspects.
