Should states take on the burden of enforcement? No. At least not financially. The 'grunt' work would need to be done by them. Like with any federal operation requiring co-operation with local law enforcement,the local joes will do most of the work anyway. The big 'deal' is essentially over funding for said operations,right? So,even if the fed gov doesn't want to pony money up right away,get it from them on the back end. The federal government has charge of our national borders. Is is their charge,as in 'duty and obligation' to keep our borders regulated according to rules and regulations ...
