All my life I have heard that the past is the past-forget it. We have all heard that history repeats itself and to an extent, I believe that. Everyone knows we cannot change what has happened in the past, but we can make the future better. I have also heard that the best way to get over bad things is to face them and/or forget them. That's the catch. Some things in life cannot be forgot. What makes them worse is when you have told yourself your whole life that the past doesn't matter, and the past won't affect your future until one day you realize your future revolves around your past.
