I am a 26 year old single mother, I have one son who is 6 years old and has grounded me in so many ways. I know children say the darndest things, however the things my son comes up with, continues to amaze me every day. Often times it is he who makes me stop and rethink a situation or change a point of view. Crazy how such a small and innocent voice can make such a loud boom.
I enjoy poetry and art, music and conversation. The perfect setting would be where I had a sketch pad and pencils, paints, pastels etc..on one table, a notebook and pen on another. A radio playing a station programmed for me, a cigarette burning near by, and a ice cold sweet tea or coke in my hand. Don't forget my invisible box that all this is in, I have to be able to set back and survey my surroundings without being quetioned as to why I am just watching.
My passion is ...
my son, my family, my friends
I know too much about ...
thinking I know enough
My parents always told me ...
Mind your P's and Q's, "mom what are P's and Q's?" I'm now a mother and I know ;)
My childhood ambition ...
I wanted to be a vet or a counselor
My favorite memory ...
I have so many, I couldn't possibly pick one. From something as simple as going with my mom for frozen yogurt, to something as complex as describing about the first day I truly felt I loved my stepfather and how I cried when he walked away.
Why I write ...
To let it out, if I'm upset I write poetry, If I'm happy, I write poetry, If I'm just in a silly mood...you guessed it I write. It's my own personal FREE therapy. It is my own to do with what I want, how I want, when I want
What I am reading/watching/listening to ...
at this exact moment, I am listening to my son play the new games he got yesterday. I am watching the excitment on his face as he discovers new levels. I am reading his facial expressions, he feels so proud of himself right now for knowing how to do something in the game that I don't.
My first job ...
Well besides the babysitter/nanny job, my first real paycheck came from a Mcdonalds.
My best moment ...
Having my son, it was a long hard struggle..and though my pregnancy was so hard and so many closecalls..I wouldn't change a thing if it meant I wouldn't have my son exactly the way he is.
My inspiration ...
My son, my family, my friends, my life...my ups and downs, my loved and lost, my pains physically and emotionally. Without all of this I wouldn't be who or where I am today. To all who broke my heart, thank you! You have made me stronger and able to deal, to those who didn't believe in me, Thank you! I now know the meaning of pushing on to prove to not only you but to MYSELF that I could do it.
You might be wondering what a Geox shoe is. The answer you are going to get is rather simple, here it is: a breathing shoe! You heard it right, Geox shoes are designed to breathe. There is a system of ventilation ports on the bottom of the shoe, that allows this "breathing" technique to happen. With every step you take, the membrane in the ventilation system, allows water and moisture to escape and lets fresh dry air in. You might now be wondering how these shoes work in water, well they aren't entirely waterproof unless stated so by the manufacturer, however while dry air is coming in, li...
