: About Me

I am a outgoing wife and mother who is looking to go back to school. I would like to finish getting my BA in Early Childhood Education. I also plan on minoring in American Sign Language so that I can be trilingual. I love to talk (hence my joining the crew here on Helium) and let my voice be heard. I also enjoy painting and anything fun that involves my 2 gorgeous girls.

My passion is ...

I've always wanted to be involved with children. As far back as I can remember I've always been around them. I will soon finish getting my BA in Early Childhood Ed. I also want to take American Sign Language classes so that I may be trilingual. My second passion is to tell all of the best decision I've ever made in my entire life. What, other than getting married and having children? Yes, I've accepted Christ as my personal Saviour and I'm having a blast! God is Awesome!

I know too much about ...

For some reason I've been blessed with all kinds of knowlegde that I find, in the end, are just common sense. I've learned to think long and hard about things instead of saying on impulse like most women do. It's the way we register information. It's awesome how God made us that way. So now I find myself helping marriages, teens, and parents. I guess I know too much about those mostly. I'm not the smartest person in the world, but for some reason I know a great deal about things I never knew.

My parents always told me ...

I've learned quite a few things from my parents (good or bad). Of all things I take with me, I will pass on the truth about what Christ did for me. My parents always told me growing up. Respect others but most of all respect God for what he has done for you.

My childhood ambition ...

I've always wanted to be all kind of people when I was a child. I've gone from ballerina to office secretary. I've later on decided and still stick to being an educator. I enjoy knowledge and feel I have much to pass on.

My favorite memory ...

June 10, 2001...the day I got married to my wonderful husband Michael. 11/ 14/01, the day I accepted Christ as my Saviour. 4/22/02 the day Teresita was born. 4/1/05 the day Adaliah was born.

Why I write ...

When I write I seem to verbalize a lot more clearly than to vocally say what I want to say. I can stop and think about saying it so that every word that comes out of my mouth is a blessing to others. I also write so that I don't get lazy in my writing. I also enjoy expanding my mind. I want to learn to paint pictures with my words so that you the reader can see what I'm saying.

What I am reading/watching/listening to ...

To be honest the only book I like to read is the Bibile, but I've been reading more since I've been on Helium. I'll get a book here and there that will help me in my marriage...you never know enough. I don't watch much TV, just movies(300 is AWESOME!) I listen to 90.1FM in Chicago and US 99 Country Station. I'm also very much into my Puertorican roots and listen to a lot of merengue and salsa.

My first job ...

I was a nanny for a friend who had three kids, but my first job that I had to pay taxes was TACO BELL (Oh Yeah!)

My best moment ...

I think I've achieved quite a few things in life that I probably can't remember. My biggest achievement now is the satisfaction of being able to coach my 5 year old in her learning. Last year was counting to 100 and knowing her address and phone # before Pre-K. This year her goal is to read 10 books before kindergarten. She's almost there! Though they are her best moments, they're also mine because I'm putting it out there for her and she's grasping it like candy!

My inspiration ...

My husband inspires me to write, more now than before. He sees how I've come a long way from when I first started Helium. I want my girls to see that mommy enjoys writing and expressing herself through words. I want my Saviour to know that when I write I do it with the intention of glorifying Him for it. I want my Hubby, the girls, and DADDY(God) to be proud of me.
