About me - Tami Joia

About me

I am the founder of IDEAS: Individual Development to Education, Attitudes, and Solutions Corp. I am also the President and Advocate.

We provide assistance in securing the appropriate supports/services for children with disabilities. Additionally, we provide workshops and advocacy training to parents and other interested parties.

We are not state funded and prefer it that way. This allows us to utilize more resources, it doesn't tie our hands. Our funding source is the general public. Parents pay a minimal fee and we take them through team meetings, evaluations, all the way to mediation and/or hearing. We also attend and represent meets with community organizations that provide services to families.

We have a success rate of 100%. In the last year we have represented children of varying disabilities from Social/emotional to Developmental Delay to Autism and ADHD. Our children are either in private residential or day schools or are receiving the appropriate services and/or supports in the public school system.

I believe passionately in what I do and find it to be the most emotionally rewarding. I have met extraordinary people in this field and I wouldn't change it if I could. I just absolutely love what I do and I wish more people could feel this way about their job.
